Cherry Picking at Stockman’s Ridge Orchard

Cherry season is expected to start in December!
Our cherries are the large, juicy, deep red varieties — some growing up to 30mm in size!

Please note: Cherry availability can change daily due to weather and picking conditions — it’s first in, best dressed! If cherry picking is unavailable on your scheduled date due to weather or circumstances beyond our control, we’ll contact you promptly and issue a full refund for your booking.

🌳 Things to Do

Make a day of it! While you’re here, you can:

• Pick Your Own Cherries – fresh from the tree in the heart of Orange, NSW

• Enjoy a Wine Tasting (book separately at our Cellar Door here)

• Relax with a Picnic among the vines

• Book a BBQ Spot and make lunch of it!

• Grab Cold Drinks and Refreshments on site

• Bring Your Friendly Dog (on leash)

• Visit with a Group or Bus Tour – coaches welcome with advance notice

💰 Orchard Entry Fee

• $5 per person (Adults and Children over 3)

• Bookings recommended, especially on weekends and during peak season

• Entry fee includes use of picking boxes

• If you’re just visiting the grounds or Cellar Door (not entering the orchard), no charge applies

🍒 Picking Details

• Fruit is $10 per kg (we provide boxes to take your cherries home)

• Cash preferred for faster service

• The 2-hour booking slot is just for your arrival time — you’re welcome to stay and pick for as long as you like!

• Our friendly team will guide you to the ripest rows and show you how to pick without damaging the trees.

✅ Before You Visit

• Groups of 20+ must book ahead

• Please wear comfortable, closed-in shoes (the ground can be uneven)

• Bring a hat, sunscreen, and water

• Prams are welcome, though some areas may be tricky to push through

• Orange weather can be unpredictable — check the forecast before you travel

• Allow 1–2 hours to enjoy your picking experience
